**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

The responsibility of Technical Support Rep will be to support the Carrier Commercial Controls product line (CCN and BACnet) which is sold and installed by Carrier Service and Distribution offices both in and outside the US. The Technical Support Rep will also be responsible for the testing, documentation and training in the use of the Carrier Commercial Controls product line. Specific responsibilities for this position include:


+ Provide support for the Carrier Commercial Controls Products via online cases, email and phone calls

+ Troubleshoot, duplicate and resolve reported field issues

+ Create bug reports and bulletins as required

+ Assist with generating, editing and reviewing technical documentation

+ Assist with beta testing new hardware, software and applications

+ Assist with training Service, Distributor and Contractor personnel


**Qualification:**


+ Excellent Troubleshooting abilities

+ Excellent verbal and written skills

+ Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment

+ Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization

+ Must have ability to remain calm and professional in a fast paced environment

+ Ability to adjust work schedule to meet work requirements (flexible work options)

+ Strong understanding of the fundamentals of HVAC and control theory (Controls Application or Project Engineer)

+ Understanding of low voltage electrical wiring, meters and oscilloscopes

+ Understanding of PC Desktop hardware and configuration

+ Ability to generate, review and edit technical documentation for use with hardware and software products

+ Field understanding of usability testing on controls product, similar to the experience a Controls Application or Project Engineer would have

+ Ability to present technical information in a classroom setting is a plus

+ Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and LonWorks protocols and equipment is a plus

+ Understanding the fundamentals of TCP/IP and Networking is a plus

+ Understanding of the fundamentals of database management (installation and support of SQL, Access, MySQL, and other) is a plus

+ Basic understanding of generating and executing test plans for functional testing is a plus

+ Experience with and understanding of legacy Carrier CCN systems is a plus


**Education:**


+ BA/BS degree with 4-7 years experience

+ MA/BMS degree with 2-5 years experience

+ PhD degree with 0-2 years experience
